Vectorize Hand Lettering

Vectorize Hand Lettering

Posted by Tara Nearents on

Hi, guys! I’m Tara from Rad & Happy. I’m a hand letterer, YouTuber, coloring book maker, modern phone case and fabric designer, and sometimes funny Instagrammer. I’m so glad you’re here in this class! This class was first offered on my YouTube channel. It’s where I’ve shared all my favorite quick tips for the iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Procreate app, so I wanted to make it available here, as well, for you to easily find and refer back to. I'm looking forward to being able to do more in depth classes here in the future!

Today I want to share how I vectorize my work. It is one of my most frequently asked questions. In this lesson, I’ll walk you through my process step by step. It’s super easy—and it’ll change your life! Take a look.

Tips & Tricks:

  • I save my files as jpg and use airdrop to transfer to my desktop. Use whatever files and programs you’re most comfortable with!
  • It’s a good idea to save your settings as a preset so you don’t have to make the changes every time.
  • Play around with your individual pieces. You can move, edit, colorize, and more. Spend some time getting to know the program and learning what else you can do.

I hope this lesson has given you a good base to get started. Feel free to tweak the settings and get them just right for you. Enjoy it! And let me know if you have any questions. I’d be more than happy to help. Join me in the next lesson to learn how to make different patterns using your iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Procreate App. See you there!
